Breed: Idaho Shag

First time at Sanctuary: 06/03/2015          


Description: Morra's blonde and white fur is often only seen in glimpses as she is running after a ball. She was quickly given the role of leader in a squad after her bark was once heard by a member of the council in their home. The council member was later heard remarking “A bark like that can only belong to a leader. . .” Morra has been on many adventures at Sanctuary, most notably though is her telling of the trip to the great oak, “The Bay Journal”.

I cocked my head to the side again, and at this point I was getting rather tired of doing this, “You weren’t accepted by the Oak?”  Hojan shook his head, “None of them can even find it. Chapter Twelve: Into the Darkness

   We said goodbye to our friends and walked toward the sounds of crashing waves. The Darkness felt like a veil, and as soon as we crossed through it, we were lost. We couldn’t see anything, and if it wasn’t for the fact that we were standing shoulder to shoulder we wouldn’t even know the others were there. I turned to look behind me to see that I couldn’t even tell where the veil was—it was all dark. The sound of the water against the shore was nearly deafening.      We awkwardly walked forward. Each dog carefully placing one paw and then feeling the ground to make sure it was safe before moving the other paw. We did this one at a time, with Atrix on my back. It was very slow moving. Dog Profile: Opal

Name: Opal Breed: Dalmatian First time at Sanctuary: 3/3/16 Description: You wouldn’t be able to tell by looking at her, but Opal is a relatively new addition to Sanctuary. Being voted into the council in the past 5 years her calming presence was immediately felt and soon she became a moderator between the big and small dogs. She helped solve many debates, including the famous ‘Who’s ball is it anyway’ debate between Charles and Bubba.
