Tails of Sanctuary

Name: Coco Breed: Boxer First time at Sanctuary: 08/02/13 Description: Coco is a vocal part of Sanctuary letting everyone know what she thinks at all times. Coco doesn’t typically involve herself in the adventuring parties or the place beyond the shed as she enjoys the finer things in life such as eating, sleeping, and playing ball. After she found Rad she accepted a role as a teacher for the new but older dogs of sanctuary helping them adjust to the day to day operations and make some friends along the way.

        The Raddest Gift I had been going to Sanctuary for just a few years when the adventure that changed my life occurred. I was at Sanctuary as often as a bee is at his hive. I fit in, for the most part, I got in a few arguments every now and then, but the sentinels started giving me some time during the day to rest and I became a much happier dog. I loved Sanctuary, the sentinels, and most of the dogs as well, but something was missing.           On the day I first went to the place beyond the shed I walked into Sanctuary to a scene of madness, a scouting party had just returned, the sentinels and the dogs were all yelling. The council was being convened in the meeting place between play yards, a small two-foot by a two-foot area where the big dog council members met with the small dog council members. I went to the leader of the  scout  party, Bailey a giant German Shepard with a very fluffy coat. “What is going on Bailey?” I asked approaching her as she was drinking from one of the water buckets, she picked her head up, looked at me and motioned for me to join her before dipping her head back into the water bucket. I began drinking from the same bucket, and she lifted her mouth out of the water just enough to speak “We found one.” “One what?” I stammered, stunned. She turned her body towards me lumbering over me like an old oak above a blade of grass and gruffly ...

Name: Ace Breed: Pit Mix First time at Sanctuary: 01/04/2010 Description: Despite of Aces massive size many describe him as “A big baby”, or “A giant Teddy bear”. When Ace isn’t busy perfecting the art of tag he can be found dancing the night and day away with the sentinels at Sanctuary. Ace was asked to be a bully when, in a standoff with a fire hydrant about a territory dispute, the fire hydrant backed down. One of Ace’s many adventures can be found detailed in "The Bay Journal".

Name: Daisy Bay Breed: Lab Mix First Time at Sanctuary: 06/26/2016 Description: Daisy has been coming to Sanctuary since she was just a puppy. Growing up at Sanctuary she can often be heard saying “I really should have eaten my breakfast this morning.” Or “Wait you’re taking the ball with you!” She was given the responsibilities of a runner after she was asked to tire out three puppies in three different sessions and each time, within just an hour or two it was the puppies that were asking for naps, and Daisy was asking “Who wants to play next?” One of Daisy’s favorite  adventures can be found in her Bay-Sisters story, “The Bay Journal”. 

                    Name: Olaf Breed: Bernese Mountain Dog First Time at Sanctuary: 04/07/2017 Description: Olaf’s black and white fur is often seen prancing around the play areas at Sanctuary leading some sentinels to speculate whether he is, in fact, a dog or some form of antelope. Olaf is so beloved that the only complaint we have in our records comes from another dog who said: “Olaf is just too positive. . .” He was made a scout after he overheard his keepers planning a surprise party for him, from across the house. Of all Olaf’s adventures, his most notable is documented in, “The Bay Journal". 

Name: Morra Bay Breed: Idaho Shag First time at Sanctuary: 06/03/2015           Description: Morra's blonde and white fur is often only seen in glimpses as she is running after a ball. She was quickly given the role of leader in a squad after her bark was once heard by a member of the council in their home. The council member was later heard remarking “A bark like that can only belong to a leader. . .” Morra has been on many adventures at Sanctuary, most notably thou gh is her telling of the trip to the great oak, “The Bay Journal”.
